Aloysius Cheang is an experienced information security professional with substantial experience in managing and delivering complex, multi-dimensional and strategic multi-million dollar information security programmes for Global 500 organisations across Asia, USA and Europe. He currently heads the Asia-Pacific Security Services Practice of Cable&Wireless. Aloysius specialises in information risk management and development of information security strategies, frameworks, policies and controls. He has led numerous IT security audit, security reviews and security penetration testing engagements, provided business continuity management and disaster recovery services, and supported clients in investigations and digital forensic requirements. Aloysius contributes extensively to the Information Security ("INFOSEC") community. He is a founding member and president of SIG2, the de facto local INFOSEC community in Singapore and an affiliate of (ISC)2. He is a member of Singapore IT Standards Committee ("ITSC") and represents Singapore on ISO/IEC/JTC 1 SC 27 working groups. Aloysius holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore. He is also a CISA, a CISSP, a SANS's GCIH and a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional for Window Security. A regular guest speaker at various local and international conferences, Aloysius’s views are valued by media as an independent source of subject matter specialist opinion.
