Aryeh Goretsky started his career in 1989 sitting at his friend John McAfee's kitchen table and answering the phone. That company grew out of John's house and into McAfee Associates, where for the next 5½ years he ran the tech support department. In 1995, he followed John McAfee to Tribal Voice, which developed PowWow, one of the first chat and IM programs for Windows. In 2004, Aryeh received his first MVP Award (Windows-Networking) and the following year joined VoIP equipment manufacturer Zultys Technologies. In 2005, after a decade-long absence, he reentered the anti-virus industry and now works as a Distinguished Researcher for ESET, the developer of NOD32. In his spare time Aryeh administers and answers questions at Chris Pirillo's Lockergnome Help Forum at help.lockergnome.com, moderates Geeks.Pirillo.Com and spends his evenings as an operator answering questions in its IRC channel. He is a moderator at Wilders Security Forum, run by fellow MVP Paul Wilders at www.wilderssecurity.com, at Scot's Newsletter Forum at forums.scotsnewsletter.com, is a Most Valuable Contributor on Neowin at www.neowin.net/forum and a moderator on Lenovo's forum at http://forum.lenovo.com. He blogs professionally at www.welivesecurity.com. Aryeh also manages the C-SQUAD mailing list for law enforcement and IT, contributes to the ThinkPad Users Mailing List and is involved with several security operations groups, including the DA/MWP, TH-Research and ZERT working groups of the ISOTF.
