Amihai Levin (Ami Levin)
SQL Server expert
I’m a SQL Server technical expert with strong entrepreneurship and community leadership skills. My passion for SQL Server and knowledge sharing, led me to stand out as a highly active member in the community. I speak at PASS summits, Tech-Eds and other SQL conferences worldwide. I deliver sessions in international and virtual PASS chapters. Before moving the USA, I led and moderated the Israeli SQL Server MSDN forum and the Israeli SQL Server user group for eight years. Under my leadership, the user group was chosen as the local PASS chapter and thrived to become a role model for other user groups. I currently serve in the planning committee for the PASS DBA/DEV track at the Silicon Valley Code Camp and committee member for SQL Saturday Silicon Valley, the largest SQL Saturday event. I've built a successful career as a SQL Server consultant and instructor. I've had the pleasure and challenge of working on some of the world’s busiest and most complex systems. My work involved global travel so I had the opportunity to experience SQL communities worldwide. I founded DBSophic in 2007 to pursue my dream of building a fully automatic performance tuning tool. As a founder, I've created this company from scratch. As CTO, I've directed the architectural and technical vision. As a board member, I've played a major role in defining the company strategy. DBSophic completed two successful funding rounds and overcame countless obstacles to provide a highly successful, global enterprise-class products. Qure Analyzer is a workload analysis tool that was designed and being maintained by DBSophic and offered free of charge for the benefit of the SQL Server community. I currently work as a mentor for SolidQ, utilizing my skills to help and educate customers about the optimal use of their SQL Servers. I co-lead the Silicon Valley SQL Server User Group and serve on the organizing committee of SQL Saturday Silicon Valley and the Silicon Valley code camp.
