Oscar Mozo Rivera has built a close relationship with the MVP community, growing to appreciate their passion and proactive approach to helping others make the most of Microsoft technologies
In his role as Microsoft product marketing manager for Information Worker (SharePoint, Office, Lync, Exchange, Project, Visio and Yammer) in Spain, Oscar Mozo Rivera often works closely with the MVP Award regional community program manager in Spain, Cristina Gonzales, who has helped him build a strong, ongoing relationship with the MVP community.
“Cristina has done a great job helping us engage with MVPs,” explained Oscar. “And it has been a very rewarding relationship. These are people who are passionate about technology and exceptional at taking the initiative. It is a great pleasure to work with their level of professionalism—everything becomes easy when we ask them if they’d like to participate in a project. And MVPs in our community are constantly proposing initiatives that improve the adoption of Microsoft’s productivity and collaboration solutions in the Spanish market and enhancing our customers’ experience with our products.”
In Spain, the MVP community is actively involved in sharing their knowledge and real-world experience of Microsoft productivity solutions through hands-on demonstrations, conferences, forums, blogs and books. They also participate in open source projects that enrich Microsoft solutions on Codeplex. And they amplify the voice of the local community, providing valuable product feedback to Microsoft.
For Oscar, a recent highlight of engaging with the MVP community was their active support during Spain’s CEUS VIII conference, which attracted nearly 350 participants and trended on Twitter in Madrid.
“We are lucky to cooperate with such a great group of professionals, who have such a big passion for technology,” said Oscar.
