Program Information
The Student Ambassadors program is a global community of students who are passionate about accelerating innovation by building AI-driven solutions with Microsoft technology. Students who register for the program have unique opportunities to explore cutting-edge technology, participate in AI competitions, lead local communities, and grow online presence.They connect with other tech enthusiasts, AI innovators, and aspiring entrepreneurs around the world to share ideas, solve challenges, and exemplify Microsoft’s mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.Get started now

After you register for the Student Ambassadors program, you will be invited to join the Microsoft Student Developer Community on Discord. Watch your registration email for the link granting access to the Discord server.In Discord, you will complete pre-identified activities that align with your interests and skills to become a Student Ambassador. These activities might include building AI-driven solutions, leading community events or sharing content on social.Registered members who meet activity requirements will be invited to join the Student Ambassadors program. Once the invitation is accepted, you’ll onboard to the program and earn the official title, certificate, and benefits of Student Ambassadors membership, including your @studentambassadors.com email and access to Microsoft Teams.
Registered members gain access to our global community of students, advisors and mentors on Discord and unlock resources, guidance, and training to grow their skills in areas that matter to them.Onboarded Student Ambassadors gain access to our global community of Student Ambassadors, Microsoft employees and Microsoft MVPs on Microsoft Teams and unlock program certificates, milestones, and badges. They also receive Office 365, Visual Studio Enterprise, and monthly Azure credits.
We know you’re busy and we understand you have many responsibilities. That’s why we empower you to complete activities in Discord according to your own schedule. You set the pace for becoming a Student Ambassador.Onboarded Student Ambassadors are given guidance about when they need to complete activities, but timelines are crafted with student schedules in mind. You have flexibility to manage your own calendar.
You’ll have opportunities for real-life achievements and experiences which you can include on your resume and LinkedIn profile. You’ll be able to demonstrate specific accomplishments like:
- Growing your technical skills by building AI-driven solutions using Microsoft AI and cloud technologies.
- Growing your leadership skills by hosting events highlighting Microsoft technologies, products and services.
- Growing your online presence by sharing Microsoft content to drive engagement and build your circle of influence.
Yes! To join, you must: (a.) be at least 16 years old at time of registration, (b.) be enrolled full-time in an accredited academic institution (e.g. College, University), and (c.) not be a Microsoft employee or current contractor at any time during the Program.U.S. F-1 students should check with the Designated School Official at the International Student office of their school (or their own personal immigration legal counsel) to see if participation in this Program would constitute a violation of their F-1 status. A violation may not only impact a student's ability to continue with their F-1 studies but may also affect their eligibility for future U.S. immigration-related benefits.Students in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Russia, Belarus and the Region of Crimea are not eligible for the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors program. U.S. export regulations prohibit the export of goods and services to these countries/regions and therefore students of these countries/regions are not eligible to participate.Get started now
