Halifax, NS

Rob owns and manages LAN-Tech Network Management which designs, builds, and manages small and medium sized business networks, specializing remote access methods and in multi-site configurations built around Microsoft server and cloud solutions.

Rob’s initial training began in the early 70’s using punch cards and doing basic programming with Fortran, APL, and Algol. Since that time he spent 10 years in sales, 10 years in the commercial construction industry, and then in 1998 armed with some background in electronics, started LAN-Tech Network Cabling which did physical network infrastructure troubleshooting. This quickly led to the need to troubleshoot the balance of the network and servers. A few years later the company branched into full service network support for numerous small companies mostly of 10-200 networked devices.
Clients and personal curiosity have led to much more involvement with, Server Essentials, virtualization, and the global or virtual office.

Rob can often be found participating on the Experts-Exchange forum assisting with networking, server O/S related issues, and cloud solutions, using the alias of RobWill [ ]
