Starting with analog computers (think of electronic slide-rules with sound), then into mainframes and programming, and then into PC's and networking, my experience has been broad and varied. In the 80's and early 90's, I ran a multi-node Bulletin Board System (BBS) out of my home which was technically oriented and carried over 300 echo mail groups (think of them as a predecessor to email, newsgroups, and forums).

Presently my main interest is in small and medium size networks, both design and implementation, as well as troubleshooting. Older DOS based systems (LanTastic, Novel), LanManager and SQL Server, and newer Windows based systems are supported. Building, maintaining, and/or troubleshooting individual PC's and laptops are also a specialty. DOS and all versions of Windows are supported though Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10 are my main interests.

A dedicated bicyclist I particularly enjoy fully loaded touring and camping. Whether commuting, exploring, or doing errands, such as grocery shopping, riding is always fun and a great reliever of stress. Currently both a Ride Leader and Volunteer for Cascade Bicycle Club.

Bridge is another hobby and I have had the pleasure to commentate on BBO for many major tournaments including the World Championship Bermuda Bowl, the USA National Championships, and other tournaments across the world.

Music is another pleasure and I enjoy Swing, Jazz, Classical, and love Rock n' Roll.
