Nearly 20 years ago I started as a 3D artist in Lightwave and Softimage|3D and have since grown into many roles including all round 3D tech-artist, Professional Motion Capture operator/supervisor, character Technical Director in Autodesk Maya/MotionBuilder, Research & Development in realtime characters with tools like MotionBuilder, Unity and Unreal. Years of being a 3D character TD for many tv-shows, commercials games and film work have taught me many technical aspects of 3D animation production and accompanying programming and scripting like C++, C#, MEL, Python and others. Since the dawn of the Kinect days I've been coding with it in C++, first using the PrimeSense drivers and as soon as the official Microsoft drivers were released I've explored every corner of its SDK's. (v1 and v2) My expertise has led to the release of the Brekel Kinect toolset that makes the sensor's data streams like PointClouds, skeletons and face data available in numerous popular file formats used by 3D applications.
