Ryan is a strong believer that technology, when used correctly, can improve our daily lives. He enjoys sharing his knowledge because the community, and the people within it, is the best thing about working in IT.
Ryan has had a vivid interest in Technology since his teenage years and started down the route of attaining the MCSE for Server 2003 in 2006 and although unable to complete the course at that time, he has been vividly interested in all things tech since. 2012 Ryan landed his first role in IT as part of the SharePoint Support team in a global financial firm. This lead him to learn first hand all about the ITIL process and worked with a number of teams internationally. Throughout 2015 Ryan presented at a number of national and International user groups and conferences and branched out into a number of other communities during his time in the Manchester area. After reviving the UK PowerShell User Groups in 2015 - Ryan has worked alongside fellow MVP Richard Siddaway (the original founder) as the main Co-ordinator with Groups being run in Manchester & London and plans are in place to further the growth of this community in the UK with more locations Ryan had also been heavily involved in the Organisation of PSConfEU 2016 – The Premier PowerShell Focused Conference of the year (www.psconf.eu) – along with fellow MVP Tobias Weltner Between 2016 & 2019 Ryan had helped with the growth of the UK PowerShell Community and helped a number of his fellow MVPs in running PSDAY the UK's Premier PowerShell Conference.
