Jamie Taylor

United Kingdom
Independent software developer focusing on the .NET technology stack, mentor, podcaster

Jamie (twitter: @podcasterJay) is a Microsoft MVP, software engineer, mentor, and keen podcaster with over 14 years of experience working with ASP.NET.

His primary focus is on his family and children, who he draws inspiration from each day. With a background in teaching, Jamie focuses his energies on mentoring, writing super quality code, and sharing his knowledge with everyone who will listen.

Jamie started writing code in BASIC on an Amstrad CPC 464 in the very early 90s, and his fascination with computer technology has continued throughout his life. Whilst not a hardware specialist, he can often be found trying out new bits of kit, operating system distributions, programming languages, and ways of doing things.

Outside of development and mentoring, Jamie is a keen podcaster - hosting three podcasts: The .NET Core Podcast, Tabs and Spaces, and The Waffling Taylors - and has collaborated with musicians, creating music and playing bass on a few tracks.
