Biography

Juan T. Llibre holds a B.A. in Mass Communications from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. Until recently, he headed the Computer Sciences and Distance Education departments at Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and is currently an ASP.NET Consultant/Trainer. 

He co-authored “Beginning ASP 2.0”,  “Beginning ASP 3.0”, “Beginning ASP.NET with VB.NET”, and “Beginning ASP.NET with C#”  for Wrox Press; has been a Technical Reviewer for  a long list of ASP-related books for Wrox Press, including “Instant VBScript”, “Professional Active Server Pages 2.0”, “Professional Active Server Pages 3.0”, “ADO 2.0 Programmer’s Reference”, “ADO 2.1 Programmer’s Reference”, “ASP Programmer’s Reference”, and “Beginning E-Commerce with VB, ASP, SQL Server 7.0, and MTS”, among others, and has been designated a “Most Valuable Professional” by Microsoft Corporation for the last 12 years. 

He has gained a reputation as a knowledgeable speaker at ASP Developer Conferences and was a consultant on ASP to the Caribbean Common Market, the Dominican Republic’s Central Bank and the National Technological University of Argentina. 

Juan is listed in the Dominican Republic's "Who's Who" for his contributions to the computing and education fields.

He has three daughters, Jonquil, Anthea and Isabelle, and two grandsons, David and Keenan.
