Octavio Hernandez Leal


Octavio Hernandez has a degree in Software Engineering by the Polytechnical University of Novosibirsk (Russia). After graduating in 1985 worked as Instructor and later Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Havana University. Since 1992 lives in Spain, where has been mainly dedicated to consulting, training and turnkey development of Borland Delphi/C++ and later .NET based solutions. From 1995 to 1999 served as instructor and later Director of Training for DANYSOFT, and offered consulting services on behalf of Borland Spain. From 1999 to 2003 was Developer Lead at BANCOTEL, and a key player in the opening to the world through Web services of one of the biggest hotel booking engines of the world. Later he created his own consulting company, PoKRsoft, served as Development Advisor for Plain Concepts, and as instructor for CampusMVP and CICE. Since 2008 proudly works as Software Engineer for Advanced Bionics, a world-leading cochlear implant manufacturer.

He is a Microsoft C# MVP since 2004 (renewed annually), and a MCSD y MCT since 2005. 

Has written two books for the Krasis Press publishing house: "C# 3.0 y LINQ" (October, 2007; second edition, March 2008), and "ADO.NET Entity Framework" (October, 2008, cowritten with Unai Zorrilla and Eduardo Quintas). He is also a regular contributor to the dotNetManía magazine.
