Raymond Lucchesi
Ray Lucchesi is president of Silverton Consulting in Colorado. He has worked in data storage for over 30 years mostly in marketing and engineering new enterprise class disk and tape storage products. 

At Silverton, Ray has helped startups to Fortune500 storage vendors improve product development and marketing. He also assists IT staff to select and use data storage more effectively.  Ray blogs at, speaks at major storage conferences and writes articles for industry press.

At StorageTek, Ray focused on marketing and product strategy as well as ILM architecture. Before that, he directed embedded microcode development for StorageTek’s enterprise disk subsystem. Earlier, Ray was lead architect and later managed the development of HSC for StorageTek’s first tape library. 

Ray holds a BS from Bradley, is a prominent storage technology blogger and was voted a “Top Speaker – SNIA Tutorials”.
