Michel trained at ESIEA, a French engineering school specializing in computers, electronics and robotics. After years working in large companies, such as ICL, Aerospatiale, Dassault and EDF in 1984, he published his first book and found his true vocation. Since then he’s written and published more than 300 books in France, we well as training CD-ROMs both in France and in the United Kingdom.
His interest in Microsoft products began in 1989, when he wrote a book about QuickBasic. Since then he has been passionate about testing and writing about a wide range of Microsoft software: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Flight Simulator. He’s also interested in programming languages: Visual C++, Visual Basic and C#.
Michel’s commitment to understanding and helping others make the most of their techology landed him MVP Awards for the last eight years. On October 22, 2009, with the release of Windows 7, Michel released Mediaforma (www.mediaforma.com/en and www.mediaforma.com) because he believes that video is one of the best ways to be close to users and show them exactly how to solve their problems. The videos posted on Mediaforma are commonly used in computer clubs in France as course material.
Michel plans to spend the next few months learning how to write Windows 8 Style UI applications and sharing all the stages of his learning through books and videos.
