Laura da Silva is passionate about promoting, educating and developing projects STEM or Data  related. With a degree in Maths and PhD studies in High Performance Computing, Laura has worked in a variety of roles: from C# software developer to Capability Lead for Big Data and Advanced Analytics going through data scientist and data engineering positions. Currently, she is Senior Delivery Manager for Data and Analytics at EPAM Systems and takes care of companies getting the best of data in all its forms. She is really committed to grow the STEM community and tech learning experiences for women and girls. She is the founder of “Inspiring Women in Data Science”, a community group based in London with 1400+ women and regular monthly events. She also created and co-organized the 1st International Conference on Women and Girls in Science in London with 100+ parents and kids enjoying a full weekend of demos, talks and workshops in technology and science. Nowadays, she is in Spain helping other companies with their Data strategy, at the same time that she is contributing to community with workshops, talks, panels, etc.
