I love Access; its powerful & intuitive UI makes it easy to manage, extract and manipulate data. The first time I used Access, I decided to become an Access developer. Within weeks, I started my business and had my first client. In addition to designing custom solutions, I enjoy empowering people to leverage their data and make better decisions.

I'm honored to be president of the Pacific NW Access Developers Group and the Seattle Access Group. With 23 meetings a year, I publish a monthly newsletter, maintain SeattleAccess.org, and enjoy public speaking opportunities. Meetings offer technical & professional development, networking, and community support. It’s exciting to help others learn about Access and gain invaluable skills and opportunities.

As a member of INETA’s Community Activities Team, I served over 254 user groups.  In 2006 - 2007, I coordinated the debut of the INETA Live webcasts. In 2007, I was a founding member of the Community Champions team -- dedicated to recognizing and promoting leadership and community involvement. 

One of the most intense ways that we help the community is through collaborative efforts to write books that provide invaluable resources, reference material and examples. It has been a distinct honor to serve as the lead author of two highly acclaimed Wrox series, the "Professional Access Programming" and the “Access Programmer’s Reference” as well as "Microsoft Access Small Business Solutions." As the lead author I had the privilege to invite new authors to share their expertise and gain much deserved credentials. I also recruited authors for other books, including “Expert Access 2007 Programming" and "Access 2010 Solutions." Expanding the scope, I was the coordinator and co-author of “RibbonX, Customizing the Office 2007 Ribbon.”
