Biografia
Gianni Rosa Gallina is an Italian MSc Information Technology Engineer. Currently he is R&D Technical Lead/Senior Software Engineer in the Innovation Lab @Deltatre, world leader in multimedia services for sport business and broadcasting, focusing on AI, Virtual/Augmented/Mixed Reality and other amazing emerging technologies, experimenting and prototyping next generation sport experiences. He has been Software Architect/Developer in BEPS Engineering (Microsoft Embedded Gold Partner) from 2007 to 2017, Pluralsight Author since 2013 and graduated at the Polytechnic of Turin in 2009. Since 2011 he has been awarded Microsoft MVP, former Windows Embedded, and then Windows Development / Mixed Reality, and now in AI category. In 2020 and 2021, he has been double-awarded Windows Development / Mixed Reality and AI categories. In addition to emerging devices, technologies (Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, HoloLens, Computer Vision, AI e Machine Learning, Unity 3D) and NUI (Natural User Interfaces -- he works with Microsoft Kinect, Intel RealSense, Leap Motion and wearables such as Android Wear and Microsoft Band), he is an expert in Windows Embedded technologies and .NET development, he's also active on Windows Store Apps development, mobile cross-platform app development (Xamarin, Android, Windows Phone) and the cloud, with projects with ASP.NET MVC, Umbraco CMS and Microsoft Azure solutions. Gianni is also a trainer for Windows Embedded technologies and Virtual/Augmented Reality. In addition to official Microsoft courses and online training on Pluralsight, he is involved in academic and research activities: student internships and degree thesis projects tutoring; support, courses and seminars for engineering schools and Polythecnic of Turin. He is one of the community leader and active members of the local Microsoft technology community: TTG - Torino Technologies Group and trainer for Coding Gym events.
