On all other computers the Windows login must be blocked. All other users are still allowed to log in on all computers. I have already tried it with conditional access, but there the Windows login is not blocked, only the web apps. I have also found an Intunes catalog, which I would have to roll out for each individual device and that just does not always work from experience with 100% of the devices. Do you have any other ideas or tutorials?

I was able to load this ISO onto several HP Z2 G5s that we have. Just having issues with the G9. Any help would be appreciated.

Both have Intel i( 11th Gen CPUs and Run the latest version of Windows 11 Pro with all updates installed. The only difference between them is the amount of RAM- 64 GB vs. 32 GB. I have found the program to restore a lot of functionality that Windows 11 removed. Because of a problem that could not be solved any other way I had to reset the MSI back to its original factory state with Windows 10 home, then upgrade to Windows 11 Home and then Windows 11 Pro. In the process of reinstalling all my software (with plenty of restore points created along the way) when I came to Explorer Patcher the install routine suddenly crashed and set my screen to blanking on and off. The only thing I could do was enter the recovery environment- where I found all my restore points were gone. I had to start my whole reset all over again. As soon as I had Windows 11 Pro booting OK, I created a restore point, then tried to install Explorer Patcher again. The same thing happened- blanking screen, no boot. This time I was able to use the restore point to recover. Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, how did you fix it?

I cannot have virtualization enabled on my system after a Windows update was pushed to my system. Let me explain why. The Core Isolation feature, Memory Integrity, is causing the Program Compatibility subsystem to block many of my standard and sole drivers for many programs, some of which are also hypervisors that, obviously, require virtualization to be enabled. No driver replacements exist. No amount of Google-Fu has net me any tangible results. All of the below fix actions are reverted or ignored after restarting the system. I have cleared my TPM keys multiple times from Windows and the BIOS. I even re-joined the Windows Insider Program and subscribed to the Beta Channel to see if a newer feature update would resolve the issue (spoiler: it did not). I do not have a restore point to go back to. Reinstalling Windows is a last resort. I have only found one solution that isn't ideal, which is to disable Virtualization Technology in my UEFI BIOS. This completely disables those features that I cannot turn off and also disables my ability to operate my hypervisors. I realized this after forgetting to enable it after updating the BIOS. I could use your assistance in resolving my problem. What fix do you all want me to try (besides the ones that I have listed in this post, of course)? MS Office 365 Business Standard is installed and they use Teams. Now Teams won't load. We get an error "Teams needs an update". I HATE this error! Updating teams does nothing. This is SUCH a FRUSTRATING application to fix! I have tried the following and it does nothing to fix this. I have also uninstalled Office 365 with Revo Uninstaller and that didn't work. We have restarted, we have cleaned out everything Teams related from the %appdata% account (Teams, Microsoft\Teams, etc.) and we STILL get this error! Does ANYONE have a way to troubleshoot and FIX Teams???

Domain DFS Namespace Target Folder Client Cache Not Refreshed - Microsoft Q&A

Hoping somehow posting here will get the attention of someone at Microsoft with deep DFS-N knowledge. I have observed intermittent "Access Denied" errors when a client attempts to connect to a recently changed DFS-N target folder path. The DFS-N target "\\serv1.domain.com\share" is disabled and a new target is created/enabled "\\serv2.domain.com\share"). The target Referral cache duration is set to the default 1800 seconds. Time has passed after the target is updated for all Domain Controllers to replicate and client's cache to update (more than an hour). The solution so far is DFSUTIL /PKTFLUSH DFS-N.jpg In the screenshot attached, you can see the failure when DIR command for a FQDN path is used, then success when DIR command is used with a NetBIOS shortname path. This is an illustration only, the FQDN or shortname will both fail, one or the other will fail; it is an intermittent problem which seems resolved by a restart or DFSUTIL /PKTFLUSH, but is really only fixed until a new Target is modified in the DFS Namespace. If the DFS-N client is a user PC, the restart is not too disruptive, only a single user is impacted. If there are many users experiencing the problem, then the Service Desk gets many calls and many users are impacted by a restart. Since RSAT is not typically installed on PCs, there is no good work-around to a restart. If the DFS-N client is a server, then a restart is very difficult to schedule. RSAT can be installed, but this requires notification of server owner, possible change management approvals. And then if we just ignore the root-cause, always restarting or PKTFLUSH, then in the future whenever we update DFS-N target paths we have this issue again and again. I am looking for a permanent solution to the root-cause and understand why the DFS-N client cache is not always updated every 30 minutes. Note: I am not using DFS-R (replication). I am an experienced senior enterprise systems administrator. I have used Distributed File System Namespace (DFS-N) Target Folders many years on Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012 with Windows 7 clients. I am at a new employer for several years and now we have a requirement to use DFS-N. All of the systems are Windows Server 2016, 2019 and Windows 10 22H2. <Begin Rant> So I do appreciate in advance do not patronize me with "restart" "run chkdsk" "run sfc /scannow" "run antivirus" or other noob answers. <End Rant>

I can flow an empty string; however, that leaves an attribute with no value. The downside is that LDAP queries for the presence of a value in the attribute will be true and anything using the attribute value will need to test for an empty attribute. As a practical matter, this may not be of consequence, but it flies in the face of a long-standing LDAP principle stated by standards editor Kurt Zeilenga: "an attribute without a value should not exist." If I was using ADSI or the .Net libraries System.DirectoryServices, or System.DirectoryService.Protocols, I have the option to clear the attribute value. Even FIM/MIM's VBA language supports flowing Null() to achieve the same result. Unfortunately, this option is not available in the published reference at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/app-provisioning/functions-for-customizing-application-data . If there's no way to do this now, I am requesting this capability be added.

The project creates two files for us, a setup.exe and a .msi. The setup files drop some dll's and a couple of .exe's into a folder and they create a couple of Windows services to run the two .exe's. I tried that, and it worked for me, but we would rather not install Visual Studio on our build box, as it's a relatively big footprint, and it seems installing there would require another license. I tried using MSBuild to build the setup project. I got a warning(MSB4078) which let me know that MSBuild doesn't work with .vdproj files. I then tried dotnet.exe. It doesn't seem to recognize the project file format. I also tried using VS Community's devenv, because that would probably not require another license, but Community ignored my .vdproj like it was not there. It said it could not find the file, and it printed out help for devenv. What is the standard, or best way to build one of these projects?

If I change the parameter dwNumberOfBytesToWrite to 8, it sends. Do I have to change my code to loop through sections of 8 or less to send? No matter the length of the string I'm sending, the server prints a 400 error. The server's running python's flask if that helps. I know that I can connect to the server GET data without issue. No problems at all up until this most recent servicing stack and cumulative update. For some reason this latest one just won't install for me and VMs created from the ISO are coming up as missing the patches. Here is the code block I use to add the package into the install.wim. I thought maybe the /cleanup-image /resetbase was causing the problem so I tried it both with and without that step (which is why it is commented in my code paste below). I am using InsightVM and Ivanti to scan the VMs I create and let me know if the patches are seen. Every VM I have created in this way has come up with zero vulns, but this month it's completely missing the SS and CU. I don't know if it's something to do with the age of the Windows 2016 version I'm running or what. Please advise. Or any other alternative way to fix the problem? Users can still run RDS published apps, I just cant see them to add or modify when needed. I am a local admin on the server and can RDP into the server as usual. In doing the switching over and setting up IMAP mail accounts on both machines, I had a bit of a learning curve in how to set things up, but I dealt with and figures these out via some self-help and some additional reading. One thing I cannot figure out relates to how my e-mail signature on both machines (an HTML signature with image + hyperlink on image) will show the attachment icon on sent e-mails even if these e-mails have no attachments. In addition, when the computer I didn't send the e-mail from syncs the sent folder, there is no attachment icon shown on the machine syncing any sent e-mails. I tested not using a signature and I can confirm that the attachment icon was not present on e-mails sent without a signature that contains an image. This is the same signature I was using in my POP3 e-mail setup, and I never experienced this issue. In fact on the Windows 10 laptop, I didn't even need to create a signature since it automatically still picked up the signature used when I was using a POP3 mail account. This seems rather strange as I can see gaps in the leased IP range but these are not being assigned automatically and the laptop does not complain when I enter it manually so it is not in use. By the way, i also tested DX11VideoRenderer with topoedit, the 1080p video render result is normal, so i copy the frame texture from GPU to CPU and convert to ARGB then saved to bmp file, the bmp file is similiar with above photo. I don't know how this happened, maybe something about data structuring. Is there a method to map NV12 data from 1080p frame to texture2d buffer correctly?

The data required to run the database requires responses from both networks. And before anyone asks the desired end points required cannot be moved to one network. A Linux programmer said he had heard of a "routing table" that may be able to direct all Lan traffic calls to a specific adaptor but he did not know how to do that.

His user mailbox (Usr@domein) that is assignt by SSO after login and an second mailaccount (mb@domein) from the same domain. Not it is not an shared mailbox, The mb@domein is set as default, because they mail from that account. This way when you mail, it always the one in From field. The user@deomin is secondary. When creating mail in outlook, the mail is sent to the correct folder (sent items) of that user. But when you create an new email outside outlook, for an third party application, of from explorer (right mouse button > send to > mail recipient), the sent mail is not sent to the correct "sent Items" folder. It is moved to the user instead of mb. When you flip the from address to user and then back to mb, it works also correcty But when you change the default to user, create email from explorer, and change the from field to mb, than it works correctly. The whole reason to set an account as default, that they dont need to change the "from" address. We tested this with our environment (not the customers), tried it locally and on their citrix environment, its all the same result. Is this bug (or feature?) or just an wrong setting somewhere?

If I disconnect my school account from work & school accounts in windows settings, i get V & T protection back. It happens on private freshly installed and all other computers same. It happens whether the user is an administrator or an ordinary user. It seems that there is some kind of policy in our tenant that commands hiding V&T (Defender) from Windows Security. I am tenant administrator and I never created such policy. We have A1, A1 + or A3 licenses but it also doesn't matter which is applied to user.

Lenovo helped us in advance to upload all machine hardware hash values to the list of Windows Autopilot Devices in Intune's "Enroll Devices > Windows Enrollment" section. For example, we dumped Lenovo's base Windows 11 image to a machine to start with. (Our machines all came with Windows 10 preloaded images and we decided to get upgraded them all to Windows 11 base images prior to deploying.) As that machine's hash value is already in our Autopilot device list, the machine was booted up with the Autopilot process and was deployed with our Intune policies with all the configuration profiles, scripts and etc. The machine rolled out fine with the entire Autopilot process. We then had the machine patched with the latest Windows updates. Afterward, for some reason, we had to wipe that machine with Intune and erase the hard drive by dumping Lenovo's Windows 11 base image again. My question is: Are there any other procedures that we need to take either on the Azure Active portal, Microsoft 365 portal, or Intune portal regarding that machine's presence that we need to look after prior to running the Autopilot process to re-enroll that machine? My concern is that there may have some sort of duplicate or orphan identities still existing in our Azure portals. That will eventually be creating problems for that machine to operate properly with its OS and programs and etc. later on. Hope I have provided all the info you need. Can you advise what steps we would also need to take either prior to or after wiping the machine using Intune? Appreciated! Woody

When I'm connected to corporate domain network which profile is "Domain Network", "Files and Printer sharing" on Windows Firewall is Disabled and port scanning results "Filterd". But when I connect to VPN (Sonicwall VPN client) which profile goes to "Public Network", "Files and Printer sharing" on Windows Firewall is Enabled and port scanning results "Open". On my GPO, I just set Remote Desktop (3389) to be enabled on all network profiles. I just wonder why this config change occurres on Windows Firewall. And "Public Network" should be secured than "Domain Network", right? Why port 445 opens? I searched the same problem as me but no result was found.... Any idea? Thanks, KJWRHRO
